What is MENORRHAGIA??
Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual periods. Menorrhagia denotes heavy bleeding, when a woman loses an excessive amount of blood during her monthly periods. - Blood tests - A sample of your blood is evaluated in case excessive blood loss during menstruation has made you anemic. Tests may also be done to check for thyroid disorders or blood-clotting abnormalities.
- Pap test - Your doctor collects cells from your cervix for microscopic examination to notice infection, inflammation or changes that may be cancerous.
- Endometrial biopsy - Your doctor may take a sample of tissue from the inside of your uterus to be examined under a microscope.
- Ultrasound scans - This imaging method uses sound waves to produce images of your uterus, ovaries and Pelvis.
Based on the results of your initial tests, your doctor may recommend further test like.
- Sonohysterogram - This ultrasound scan is done after fluid is injected, through a tube, into your uterus by way of your vagina and cervix. This allows your doctor to look for problems in the lining of your uterus.
- Hysteroscopy - A tiny tube with a light is inserted through your vagina and cervix into your uterus, which allows your doctor to see inside of your uterus.

- Boil 20 grams coriander in 200 ml of water, when it remains 5o ml removes from the heat and use this decoction during monthly cycles.
- Take 40 to 50 grams mustard seeds and grind to make powder. Take this powder every morning and evening for 3 to 4 days before menstruation.
- Cook one banana flower and eat with 1cup of curd. This stimulates progesterone and controls excessive and heavy bleeding.
